Dows Riding Stable is located at 625 Boulter Rd in Murillo, Only minutes from Thunder Bay. Sarah Dow is the owner and riding instructor at Dows. She started the stable at the age of 16 and has now been running Dows year round for 8 years. Dows is a stables for kids of ALL ages, and incomes to come out and have fun.
Dows offers riding lessons, summer/winter camps, trail rides, birthday parties, and a youth club that runs monthly gymkhanas (games on horses) and horse shows.
Dows is a big sponsor of Pro Kids. If you know a low income family with a horse crazy kid contact Dows or Pro Kids and get them signed up for our riding lessons or camps.

John Street Road
Follow John Street Road until you get to Boulter Road, approx 15-20 minutes. Take a right onto Boulter Road and follow it to the dead end. We are located on the left at the very end.
Oliver Road
Follow Oliver Road until you get to Boulter Road, approx 15-20 minutes. Take a right onto Boulter Road and follow it to the dead end. We are located on the left at the very end.
From the New Highway (Back Roads)
Take the new high way to Twin City Crossroads. Take a right onto twin city crossroads and turn onto Poleline Road located on the sharp corner. Follow Poleline Road to Boulter Road. Take a right onto Boulter Road and follow it to the dead end. We are located on the left at the very end
Sarah is the owner and riding instructor at DOWS. She has 17 years riding experience. She has won various awards in the horse shows and gymkhana (games on horses). Along with competing, Sarah is constantly learning new riding skills during her training in Chicago, IL and at clinics all across Canada and USA. Sarah is trained in First Aid from St. Johns Ambulance, which is updated every 2 years. Sarah has been teaching kids of all ages, not only to ride a horse but how to care for, groom, saddle and feed a horse. It is her goal to make every kids learning experience at Dows a fun one.
Stevie has been riding at Dows for about five years now. She is the Dows Barn Manager and is training to teach kids how to ride. She competes in monthly gymkhanas (games on horses) and horse shows. Last year she took home 2nd place overall high point in DOWS Riding Stable Youth Club. Along with riding and teaching at Dows Stevie also assists in the training. She will be competing at the Murillo Fair grounds this year and hopes to get up to the Morris Stampede in Manitoba this July.
KATELYN
Katleyn has been riding at Dows for about two years now. She is the new Barn Assistant at Dows. She competes in montly Gymkhanas and horse shows on a horse named Sage just trained at Dows last year. Katelyn also assists in the training at Dows. This year she will be working closely with a horse named Belle who will be ridable by spring and hopefully competing at a slow speed this fall.
